Formed in 1970s with an aim to unite all the ex- students (Alumni) of the college in a single forum, the Mahavidyalaya Praktani has remained engaged since its inception in the task of bringing all alumni of the college closer to each other and to strengthen the bond of love between them and their alma mater.

While the primary motto of this organization is to reach out to all its members in their hours of need and crisis, it has never shirked its responsibility to its alma mater or to the society at large, and has always tried in its own humble way, to be useful to both.
