Reunion Ceremonies

Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani organizes biennial Re-union Ceremony of all its members at college premises every odd year (2011, 13, 15....). All ex- students of the college are welcome to join the program.

The last reunion was held at the college campus on 25th December, 2013 and was registered by about 573 ex-students. A good number of present students, teachers, staff, monks and family members of ex-students also attended this festival of 'homecoming'.

Financial Assistance

Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani always tries to render financial assistance to members, college staffs and to needy students or other persons of the society in general, whenever required, to pursue of higher studies, medical treatment or for similar pressing reasons. As the resources are very limited, this assistance is subject to availability of funds and criticality of the need. The approval of the fund is solely at the discretion of the Executive Committee of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani.

Educare Project

Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani and Ramakrishna Mission Residential College at Narendrapur is conducting a number of education oriented developmental projects. The college has been offering free education and several other facilities to a large number of students from the less privileged classes for several years. It welcomes support from all those who are interested to participate in this essential endeavor for the expansion of education. Financial assistance in the form of scholarships is given to the economically backward and meritorious students on a regular basis. Around 225 students enjoyed such scholarships during the year (2010, 2013 & so on).

Social Network

Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani also communicate among its members and facilitates useful interactions among them globally. The organization has its own Yahoo group http://group.yahoo.com/group/rkmcollegepraktani which plays a key role in this respect.

Publication–Arghya

Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani publishes its own magazine ARGHYA on the occasion of Reunion. It contains essays, poems, stories and other creative writings by our own members. Publication of the magazine is done by the souvenir sub-committee. Any ex-student may submit his writings to the Secretary of the Praktani for its publication in the corresponding forthcoming issue.
